King’s Youth follows the Presbyterian Church of Queensland’s PresSafe safe ministry framework for ministry with children. PresSafe sets expectations for leader selection, training, conduct, reporting, record keeping, and safe ministry practice.
Our leaders
Every leader or helper involved in King’s Youth must complete the relevant PresSafe selection process before serving. This includes a current Working With Children Check or exemption, a PresSafe Agreement, agreement to the PresSafe Code of Conduct, an interview, PresSafe training, and approval through church oversight.
Our practices
We aim to run King’s Youth in a way that is safe, transparent, and accountable. We keep appropriate records, plan activities carefully, maintain suitable leader oversight, and take concerns seriously.
Training and approval
PresSafe requires annual training for people involved in children’s ministry programs and activities. King’s Youth leaders serve under church oversight, and leaders are not rostered until the relevant checks, training, agreements, and approvals are in place.
If you have a concern
If you have any concern about the safety, wellbeing, conduct, or care of a young person at King’s Youth, please speak to a King’s Youth leader or contact one of the partner churches.
If there is immediate danger, call 000. If a disclosure or suspicion of child sexual abuse is made, it must be reported to police immediately. PresSafe provides guidance for reporting child safety concerns through the Presbyterian Church of Queensland.

King’s Youth exists because Jesus welcomes, values, and protects the vulnerable. We want every young person who comes to King’s Youth to be safe, known, respected, and cared for.
